Interesting vid. However, by saying that graphic design was born with newspaper design you are really wrong.
It’s dated a lot back, at the end of the 1800, when ornaments to decorate book covers and starting capital letter of chapters were a real art. And a little later, at the start of 900, the affiche art gave a rapid spread to graphic design art.
You are in fact correct Michela. I guess we could say this is the History of Modern Graphic Design. Thanks for pointing that out.

Actually, graphic design dates back much further. Letterforms and images were used for communication and decoration in Sumeria, Mesopotamia, by the Egyptians, the ancient Greeks, the Romans, the Etruscans, the Chinese and others. The Blau Monument, c. 3600 BC, combines writing and images.
As a new comer in web design i have to know about the history of Graphics design and from here i have learned a lot.
