This tutorial will focus on how to draw a stopwatch icon in Adobe Illustrator using gradients and shapes. The best thing about vector artwork is that it can be re-sized to as small or as large as you need for any online or offline design project. The stopwatch is housed in a metallic casing with glass facing. We will use metallic gradients and glass sheen to make the icon hyper realistic.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to use the slice tool in Photoshop to cut your PSD file into smaller jpg and gif images for use on the web. I will also show you how to optimize each image for the smallest page size possible online. Once the PSD is cut, we’ll work on creating the html and css files necessary to make the site live online.
